Har­vey Pekar, self-confessed tech­no­phobe and cre­ator of the ever-splendid ‘Amer­ican Splendor’ has a new pro­ject — a weekly web­comic named The Pekar Pro­ject. Check out this intro­duc­tion and this inter­view over at MTV;

I have a lot of stor­ies lay­ing around that I can’t find artists to do or I can’t find a mar­ket for them, so I figured what the hell? The work’s already done,” said Pekar. “It’s really easy for me to write a bunch of stor­ies. I live through some­thing and I go home and write about it. It’s that quick.”

In addi­tion to this, the pro­ject has a twit­ter feed;

You can try to teach me how to use the inter­net man, but I’m tel­lin ya, it ain’t gonna stick
